android data® is a suite of software that enables the remote administration of web and e-commerce content. The system is comprised of three modules: the Caching Server, the Content Manager, and the Administrator's Toolkit.

At the heart of the suite is the Caching Server, which in addition to performing the caching operations which make Android Data® remarkably efficient, also supplies the business logic for each of the thin client applications. The Content Manager and the Administrator's toolkit communicate across the Internet with the Caching Server, allowing users to update product information, download orders, create online surveys, send email broadcasts, etc. Because the Caching Server runs as a Windows service, it can run in a different security context as Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS), which allows the Caching Server to perform complex operations such as image processing without compromising the security of your network. The two client applications were designed to provide an incredible amount of control over the content of your sites without requiring any programming whatsoever.

The Content Manager is an application which allows easy maintainance of your web site content. This application is distributed to each of the content providers or suppliers and provides all of the tools necessary for maintaining a product catalog including importing and manipulating images, updating prices, grouping into categories, assembling into catalogs, etc.

The Administrator's Toolkit is an application distributed to the network administrator which provides tools which dynamically create new Android Data® web sites, including registering the site with IIS and creating an SQL Server database, as well as tools for defining parameters for image resizing, registering templates with the Caching Server, changing shipping charges and methods, and so on.
